Joyce Eva Purkis, 82 of Dade City, FL passed away March 24, 2026 at Gulfside Hospice in Zephyrhills. She was born October 11,1943 in Huddleston, VA to Dallas Guy Wood and Elsie Joyce Foster. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ross Purkis and son, Alwyn Eugene Purkis. She is survived by her loving family including daughter, Susie (Michael) Godsey of Gladys, VA; son, Timothy (Karen) Purkis of Dade City, FL; granddaughter, Kennady Anita Purkis of Dade City, FL; grandson, Jon (Amanda) Godsey of Lychburg, VA and great grandchildren, Bradley, Brooklyn, and Briggs Godsey.
