MOODY, Joyce Jean, 85, of Tampa, FL, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. She was born on January 22, 1937 in Roanoke, VA, to parents, Otho Preston Wickham and Mary Ercell Wickham. Joyce attended school throughout in Hillsborough County Public Schools, and graduated from Hillsborough High School, she married the love of her life, William Columbus Moody, on December 28, 1955. Joyce spent many years devoted to the well being of children throughout Florida while working for the Childrens Services for the state, retiring as Executive Secretary. Joyce enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, boating, bluegrass music, and living her life to her absolute fullest. She is survived by her children; Sandra Moody Green ( Don Green) Tampa, FL; William Kenneth Moody ( Donna Anderson Moody) Tampa, FL., Grandchildren: William Shane Moody ( wife Eudocia ) - Rogersville, TN; Kenneth Sean Moody (wife Victoria) - Tampa, FL; Serena White (husband Nathan) - Lutz, FL; Drew Tyler Green (wife Megan) - Orlando, FL.; Clayton Taylor Green (partner Bernis) - Orlando, FL, Great-grandchildren- Julian, Julia, Derian, Blake, Sean, Alex, Mia, Brooks, Tristian, Austin. Preceded in death by her loving husband, William Columbus Moody, and her sister, Debra l. Martin. A graveside service is scheduled for Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM, at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Tampa, FL. Services are entrusted to the care of Hodges Family Funeral Home.
