Joyce S Bush, 80, of Dade City, Florida passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Home. Joyce was born December 25, 1941 in Dade City, Florida to Livigor Sasser and Pauline Hines Sasser. She was one of eight children. She grew up in Dade City and graduated from Pasco High School. Joyce and John F. Bush, Jr. married on March 31, 1979 and began their 43 years together. She was an employee of two nursing home facilities most of her career and retired from Royal Oak after 29 years of service. She loved to hunt and fish, dance, play cards with family and friends, sew and spend time with family, sit on the back porch and watch the grass grow as she would say. But most of all she was proud to say she loved the lord. Joyce was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and dedicated employee. She is preceded in death by: James Sasser, Joyce Sasser, sister-in-law, Harold Sasser, and Lamar Newsome, brother-in-law. Parents: Livigor Sasser and Pauline Hines Sasser Joyce is survived by Husband: John F Bush, Jr; Children: Steve Carter, Dade City, Joy Register (Bruce), Dade City; Grandchildren: Amber Bennett (Chris), Zephyrhills; Kayla Carter, Dade City; Cheyanne Carter, Dade City; Laci Carter, Dade City; Shalyn Carter, Dade City; Great Grandchildren: Haylie Mooneyham, Kaleb Bennett, Taleah Carter, Payton Myers, Zoey Myers, Kali Myers ; Siblings: Brothers: Paul Sasser, Jack Sasser (Suzanne); Sisters: Linda Newsome, Vickie Hart (Tony) and Connie Hobbs (Mike); In-laws: Jeanette Sasser, sister-in-law, Sharon Shaffett (Don) sister-in-law, Better known as nurse Ratchet, Donna Nelson (Gerald) sister-in-law; Numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Dade City, FL.
