Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Eugene Ruff Sr., age 84 of Dade City, Florida, will be conducted Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Hodges Family Funeral Home, 11441 U S Highway 301, Dade City, FL. Burial will follow at 1:30 PM at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Ruff passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 at his son, Davids home in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Mr. Ruff was born on June 19, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Nathan M. and Inez Arlene Richardson Tamaroff. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving from 1946 1947 as a Tec 5. Mr. Ruff worked in retail sales for Sears and retired after 42 years of service. After retirement, he and his wife, the late Annabelle Brunker Ruff relocated from Lake County, Indiana to Pasco County, Florida. Mrs. Ruff passed away in 2006. Mr. Ruff was a member of the VFW, the American Legion and the Moose Lodge. He was an avid golfer having made 3 Holes in one. He also enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Ruff was preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie J. Bentkowski. Mr. Ruff is survived by one daughter, Pamela J. Leman and her husband, Larry of Winamac, Indiana; two sons, Joseph E. Ruff Jr. and his wife, Juanita and David B. Ruff and his wife, Cindy Lach, both of Tullahoma, Tennessee; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
