On Monday, March 30, 2020, Joseph Patrick Merrill Jr, loving husband and father of four children, passed away at the age of 67.

Joe was born on November 26, 1952 in Patchogue, NY to Joseph Sr and Margaret Merrill. He honorably served in the United States Marines as a medical corpsman during the Vietnam conflict. On May 31, 1983, he married Constance Loretta Brown and they raised four children; Jeffrey, Stacey, Joseph III, and Nadine.

Joe had a passion for the outdoors, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and building bird feeders out of lids from discarded pots and pans. He was a celebrity among the Cardinal population, as they would sit in the small bushes outside his window and watch over him. His family and friends called him "JP" and he was known for his piercing blue eyes and his 6 7" frame. Despite his imposing presence, he was a big hearted man that truly loved his family.

Joe was preceded in death by his father Joseph Sr, his mother, Margaret, and his brother Gary. He is survived by his wife Connie; his four children and their spouses, Jeff and Heather, Stacey, Joe III and Stephanie, and Nadine; his sister Gerry, his brother George, his three grandchildren, Kurt, Ashlye, and Joseph IV; one great-grandchild, Noah; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
