HANCOCK, Joseph Neal Joe 57, of Dade City, died Saturday, May 28, 2016. Joe was born in Dade City to Neal Hubert and Patricia Ann (Otey) Hancock. He was a lifelong resident of this area, having graduated from Boca Ciega High School and Florida Southern College. While attending college he was a member of the Citrus Club, the Sons of the Confederate Veterans, San Antonio Dixie Youth League Board member, was the owner of Hancock Groves and ran the familys Florida Century Pioneer Farm. His passion was riding his bike, and coaching his sons baseball teams in San Antonio. He was a wonderful father and an amazing husband who will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his father, Neal Hubert Hancock and is survived by his wife, Jane Futch Hancock; sons, Jimmy, Jackson and Jeb; his mothers, Patricia Otey and Emmy Lou Hancock, all of Dade City; brother, Jimmy Hancock of Miami and sister, Susan Sacks of Guffy, CO, and his much-loved canine companion, Jake. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 31 from 6-8 pm at the Hwy 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 1 at 10 am at Townsend House Cemetery, 18451 Townsend House Cemetery Rd, Dade City.
