Jose Echevarria (19502023)

Jose Echevarria, 72, of Zephyrhills, FL, died at home on Sep 27, 2023.

He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico in 1950 to Jose and Cruz Echevarria, and moved to New York as an infant. Jose attended school in Bronx, NY, and after high school married Evelyn Pacheco, the love of his life. He raised his family in New York and moved to Florida after the children were grown. In addition to spending time with his family, Jose had a deep love for music of all kinds and a passion for movies and everything movie related. He began his career in photography and was blessed to work for many years as a videographer and editor; a job he truly loved.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Victor Echevarria. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Evelyn, brothers Carlos and Fernando Echevarria, daughter Jennifer McEntire and her husband Jeremy, son Paul Echevarria, grandchildren Naomi, Ileana, Gabrielle, and Joshua, and great granddaughter Sloane.

A viewing for family and loved ones will be held on Sat, Sep 30, 2023 at 10:30am, immediately followed by the funeral service, at ZFA Church in Zephyrhills, FL. A luncheon will be held at the ZFA Family Life Center immediately following the service.
