John J. Vidosh, born on July 29, 1933, in Laurium, MI, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, at the age of 92. A proud veteran, John served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, attaining the rank of First Lieutenant.

 After his military service, he dedicated his career to the Social Security Administration, working diligently for the U.S. Government and making a positive impact on the lives of countless individuals. John was passionate about many pursuits, including antique furniture collecting, as well as coin and historical documents collecting. 

His love for U.S. history and horticulture enriched not only his own life but also the lives of those around him. As an active member of the Northumberland Historical Society, he shared his enthusiasm for history with the community, inspiring many with his stories and knowledge.

John was a devoted husband and father, raising four children with his loving wife. He took immense joy in the accomplishments and growth of his family, including his grandchildren, whom he cherished deeply. He leaves behind his daughter Celia Santana and her husband Frankie, daughter Janice Vidosh, son John Vidosh and his wife Sandra, and daughter Alyssa O'Toole and her husband Den. His legacy will live on through his grandchildren Frankie Jr., Yosie, Nicole, Ariana, Elizabeth, Alicia, Makayla, and Dalton. John's remarkable journey through life was marked by his love for family, history, and collectibles. His spirit will continue to shine through the stories he shared and the lives he touched. He will be remembered fondly and celebrated by all who knew him.
