John Snyder passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 89 in San Antonio, Florida. He fought hard to stay with us as long as possible despite numerous medical challenges. John proudly served his country for 21 years in the United States Air Force. While stationed at MacDill AFB, he met the love of his life, Wanda, his wife of 67 years. Together they had three daughters. After retirement from the USAF, John spent many years traveling Florida repairing time clocks. He also worked several years for the Post Office in St. Leo. John enjoyed playing golf with family and friends. His love of golf began in his childhood as a caddy. John is survived by his wife, Wanda, and their three daughters. He has 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Ellwood, and predeceased by his brother, Walter, who died in the Korean War while serving in the USMC. John will be honored and interred at Florida National Cemetery on July 12, 2024, at 1:30 pm. Family and friends are welcome to attend. John is gone, but not forgotten.
