John Robert (Bobby) Smith, also know as "Big Country", 43 years old of Tampa, Florida was born on July 3, 1977 in Milledgeville, Georgia. Bobby passed away on November 22, 2020 with loved ones by his side at Advent Medical Center in Tampa.

Bobby graduated from Zephyrhills High School in 1997 where he was a member of ROTC and FFA. He is survived by 2 sons, John Robert Smith II and Hunter Thomas Hudson-Smith. Bobby is an Army Veteran and was a member of Victorious Life Church/Life Church where he served in the baby nursery and Royal Rangers. More recently he was attending Lifepoint/The Gathering where he served on the Prep and Risk Management Teams. Regardless of where he was, he has always had a servant heart. Many referred to him as "The Gentle Giant".

He is predeceased by his Maternal Grandparents, Robert and Betty Bemiss; and Paternal Grandparents, Jake and Mildred Smith.

He is survived by his Mom and Stepdad, Helen and Jeff Rossfield; his Dad and Stepmom, Roger and Shawn Smith; his Brother, Roger Wayne Smith II; half brother, Cody Smith; half sister, Ashley Smith; step brothers, Jeffery Rossfield Jr., Jon Michael, and Jake Bennett; and step sisters, Jessica Rossfield-Thomas, Rebecca Bennett, Ashley Rossfield, Cortney and Tasha Phifer. He is also survived by Maternal Aunt, Gail Sapp; and Maternal Uncle, George Bemiss; Paternal Aunts, Patsy Smith, Marian Medlin, Janie Dunn and Marti Pozzi; and Paternal Uncles, Billy, Johnny, Richard and Jimmy Smith; as well as multiple cousins.

He most recently worked at Loomis Armored Security, where he made many friends in the work place as well as the community.

He was a Georgia Bulldog fan and he also loved to fish.
