John (Johnny) Newsome Jr. age 63, of Dade City, passed away Thursday, November 1st, 2018.John was a native of Dade City, born on March 15, 1955 to John and Kathryn (Hunnicutt) Newsome. John served as a Sargent in The United States Air Force. He was employed at the family business, Dade City Hardware, and then worked as an Instrument Technician at Universal Studios, C&F Industries and The City of Lakeland until his retirement. Johnny was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dade City. He was an avid Florida State University fan and enjoyed motorcycles and hunting.Survivors include parents: John and Kathryn Newsome, Sisters: Jill Newsome Evans, Jo Anne (Jim) Endress, and Julie (Rob) Altenbach, Nieces: Whitney (Jacob) Deason, and Kara Altenbach. Nephews: Weston Ward, William Ward, Joseph (Angie) Endress, Josh (Allie) Altenbach, and Noah Altenbach., Uncle J.W. Hunnicutt (Gloria), and Cousin Michael (Peggy) Hunnicutt, Great nieces: Aubrey Endress and Delaney Deason.
