John F. Johnson, 89, of Zephyrhills and formerly of Syracuse, NY passed away June 18, 2013 at Gulfside Regional Hospice, Zephyrhills. He was born January 6, 1924 in Plattsburg, NY. He resided in Syracuse, NY after WWII and started his own cleaning service called Johnson's Floor and Window Cleaning Service which he owned for 30 years. Shortly after retirement he moved to Zephyrhills, FL. He greatly enjoyed sending time with his family. John was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Robert Gildemeyer; Survivors include his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary Johnson; daughters, Deborah (Richard) Larsen and Karen Gildemeyer; grandchildren, Lindsey Pritchett (Larsen), Ann Marie Gildemeyer and Brian Larsen. A Memorial Service will be conducted 10:30 Am Friday at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Zephyrhills. He will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.I lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gulfside Regional Hospice.
