Farkas, John 92 of Zephyrhills, FL passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 in Zephyrhills. He was born May 21, 1922 in the Czech Republic and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was the co-owner of the former Best Western Motel in Zephyrhills and a devout member of St. Nectarios Orthodox Church in Lakeland. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins from the Czech Republic. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, November 10th at 7:00 PM at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City located right off 301 and a Divine Liturgy Service will be held the following day on Tuesday, November 11, at 11:00 AM with a gathering beginning at 10:00 AM at the same location. Interment will follow at the Chapel Hill Gardens Mausoleum where he will be laid to rest beside his wife, Helen Farkas.
