John was born in Middletown, Ohio then moved and lived in Monroe, MI where he met and married his beautiful wife Frances Lieto Day, where he worked at Ford Motor and they started a family of 4 children. He accepted a new job at Inland Container and moved and raised their family in Greenwood, IN. At the age of 52. John quit his job to retire and take Fran to West Virginia to spend their retirement years on his Mother & Fathers farm in the hills. They loved being there, after awhile they decided to move to Florida for the remainder of their retirement.John was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 1 brother.John is survived by his loving wife; Frances Day of Zephyrhills/Umatilla, FL his daughter; Helen Bullock (Duane) of Trout Creek, MI, his son; Charles Day of Umatilla, FL, daughters; Lesa Dunn (Greg) of Tavares, FL & Elizabeth King (Mike)of Etna, OH and adopted son; Johnny Day (Alicia) of South Carolina. Also added to the family are 17 Grandchildren and 30 Great Grandchildren. Too many to name. The family grew and he was so happy, proud and loved each one of them dearly.John was cremated and will be buried at the Mildred Baptist Church Cemetery, address: Branchland, WV 25506. This is where his parents are at rest. The burial date will be determined at a later date.In lieu of flowers we have asked for money to be donated in John Days name to Hospice of Marion County, 3231 SW 34th Ave., Ocala, FL 34474. Phone # 352-873-7400. They were all a blessing to him and the family. We were all very blessed to have such a strong, intelligent and loving man in our lives. We cherished every moment with him. He knows how much he is loved and missed. He is in a better place and at peace now.
