John P. Coldren, 68, of Glenshaw, Pennsylvania passed away Friday January 22, 2016 in Tampa, FL. He was born on August 24, 1947. John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Elizabeth Coldren; two sons, Aaron (Anne) Coldren, Pittsburgh, PA; Jonathan (Elizabeth) Coldren, Denver, CO; one daughter, Kathryn Coldren, Hamden, CT; two brothers, Donald (Kay) Coldren, Mechanicsburg, PA; Robert Coldren, Harrisburg, PA; sister-in-law, Marlene Coldren, Ephrata, PA; four grandchildren, Sam, Luke, Aidan, and Niamh. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul E. and Margaret Coldren and brother, David Coldren. John was a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, Shillington, PA and Mansfield University. He earned his Masters degree from Bloomsburg University. John was a teacher for the Towanda Area School District for 34 years, and served on the Towanda Public Library Board. He was treasurer for the Pennsylvania Unit of the WBCCI. John was also a member at Berkeley Hills Lutheran Church. John loved spending time with family and friends, especially his four grandchildren. His broad smile and caring ways will be greatly missed. Services will be held on February 6, 2016 at Berkeley Hills Lutheran Church at 3:00 pm. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
