John "Jack" Barrett, 76,

passed away with family surrounding him on December 19, 2024. He was born on July 10, 1948 in Plainfield New Jersey to William Barrett and Mary Elizabeth Jones. Jack is the second of six children. He is survived by James, Elizabeth, Barbara, Bruce, Kevin and their families.

Jack graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting after serving in the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1972.

He had a long career in accounting and retired as a Vice President in the Finance Department with GTE/Verizon Phone Company. Jack enjoyed football, golf, cigars, beer, his grandchildren, and pool days. After retirement he found joy in working at the Lake Jovita Golf Club where he developed lasting friendships.

His most memorable relationship was that with his loving wife Maryann. He is survived by her and their 4 children Philip, Frances, John, and William accompanied by his wife Lisa, all raised with love and kindness. Along with his grandchildren Butler, Amber, Barrett, Magdelaina, Declan, Ashton, Aidan, Gabriella, Jayce and great grandchild, Tucker.

He was a good friend and devoted family man, always putting others before himself. He will be greatly missed.
