Joel David Aughtman, of Dade City, FL, passed January 21, 2022. He was born in Tampa on January 21, 1953 to Joe Lee and Annie Emma Aughtman. Joel retired from a career in telecommunications, working cellphone towers across the U.S. He loved fishing, woodworking and recently, making his own ammunition. He loved sitting around telling stories about family and friends he worked with and met along the way in life. Always laughing about something or someone from his memory when he told the tales. Joel was loved and will be missed. He is preceded in death by his parents: Joe Lee and Annie Emma Aughtman; Sister: Audria Anne Stanley. Joel is survived by Children: Bobi Jo Jones, Christopher Lee Aughtman, and Kelly Jean Roberti; Sister: Dorothy Ellen Stephens; Grandchildren: Tyler Jones, Pacey Gillum, and Kylie Aughtman; Life Partner: Pam Porter; and his beloved cat: "Punkin" was his most favored pet. He really loved that cat and she loved him! Arrangements entrusted to Hodges Family Funeral Home. A memorial / celebration of life will be on April 2, 2022. Contact the family for location.
