Joanne Underwood, 70, of Mt. Upton NY, and Zephyrhills, FL, passed away suddenly on November 19th.Joanne was born July 1, 1952, to John and Marjorie Davis in Sidney, NY. Joanne went to Fox Hospital Nursing School and was a nurse until retirement.She started dating the man of her dreams in 1968, Ralph Underwood, and they wed in 1971, going on to have two children, Brian and Rebecca.Joanne was passionate about her children, her three grandchildren, and her family. Joanne loved to travel, having multiple RVs and trips; they covered all 50 states, Canada, Mexico & Europe. Amazon will be taking a huge hit, she loved to shop. She loved diving into her familys ancestry, and arts & crafts, and was an avid reader.Joanne was predeceased by her parents, John and Marjorie, in-laws Fred and Joyce Underwood, brother-in-law Lynn Underwood, and sister-in-law Dale Joyce.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Ralph Underwood, her son Brian, his wife, Angela Underwood, Unadilla NY, and daughter, Rebecca Underwood, Franklin NH; sister-in-law Anne Underwood of Maryville, TN as well as her grandchildren, Gavin, Henry, and Corbin,step-grandchildren Toby, Eian, and Hannah. The additional family includes her brother, James Davis, and his wife Pam, Moorestown NJ, and Lake Placid NY, sister Judy Davis Clemente Morristown NJ, brothers-in-law Ross Underwood and his fiance, Rosa West Fairfax VA, Jerry and Cindy Underwood Hamlin NY, Scott and Sherry Underwood who are nomads, many nieces and nephews, and many, many best friends.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. There will be a celebration of life in Zephyrhills for close family and friends in the coming days, and one in Mt Upton NY, on July 1, 2023.Arrangements are under the care of Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel, Dade City, Fl.
