Joan Louise (Schaffer) Russell, 85, died on October 14, 2017, Brooksville FL. She was born on May 8, 1932, Pontiac MI to Earl Nicholas Schaffer and Eula Tanner Schaffer. She was a church organist, choir director and beautiful vocalist. She was the devoted wife of Vern David Russell (deceased) and loving mother to Judith Ann Shank Cyg, (Vern) David Russell, Stephen Earl Russell (deceased), Janet Christine Leko (David), her twin JoAnn Louise Russell (deceased), Philip Anthony Russell (Suzanne). She will be remembered by 9 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law. Possessing a true servants heart, Mom shared her faith and love of God with all she met. Creator of family traditions, homemade expert of any and everything, she is now dancing the Carousel Waltz with Vern and directing the Hallelujah Choir.
