Joan Louise Collins, 65, of Dade City, FL passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026, in Tampa, FL. She was born January 30, 1961, in San Francisco, CA, to Richard Charles Leverenz, Jr. & Bernice Marie Wright Leverenz. She was a longtime area resident of Dade City and worked for the McDonalds Corporation and then went on to retire from L. G. Edwards Insurance Company. She would greet everyone with a wonderful smile at the McDonald's drive-through and carried that gift over to L.G. Edwards Insurance office for many years. Many people in Dade City still remember her even after her retirement.

Joan is survived by her sons: Christopher Glenn Palmer, and his fiancé Marcie, and Benjamin Eric Palmer; her siblings: Rich Leverenz and Sandy Leverenz-E'Bell; lifelong friend George Marshall; and two grandchildren: Anastacia and Daniel. She was preceded in death by her parents: Richard & Bernie Leverenz.
