Simpson, Sr, Jimmy Wayne 69, of Trilby, FL passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 in Dade City. He was born November 1, 1942 in Laurens, SC to Calvin Earl & Margaret Floride Pitts Simpson. He owned and operated Simpson & Associates and traveled throughout the Southeastern United States doing asbestos removal and demolition. He founded Simpson Farms where they raised cattle and poultry and his love for horses led him to build several horse tracks in Kentucky. He is survived by his children: Jimmy Simpson Jr., Wilton Simpson, Earl Simpson, Leslie Schaeffer; 6 grandchildren: Blake, Dakota, Lauran, Jimmy III, Wilton Jr and Nathanael. Funeral services will be held 6pm Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for viewing 2 hours prior to service time on Sunday afternoon.
