Jimmy Rivera passed away at the age of 57, on Wednesday the 8th of December 2021 at 4:30 pm at Lakeland Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Adrian, Michigan on 31 of August 1964 to Roberto Cruz Rivera & Ester Atkinson Rivera, he was a resident of Dade City/Lacoochee , Florida for more than 30 years. He started working at the age of 17 in the Garbage Disposal Industry. He worked for several different companies like Central Carting, Waste Management and Progressive Waste. He was a very hard worker an provided for his family. He was loved by all. Jimmy and Sandra met back in 1983, and got married 1993. They were married for 28 years but together for 39 years. Jimmy and Sandra have 5 beautiful children and 15 beautiful grandchildren. Jimmy loved his family very much, he was a great husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, brother-in-law. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father Roberto Cruz Rivera and his mother Ester Atkinson Rivera, and his son Jimmy Velez Rivera, jr. and his brother Enrique Cruz Rivera. Jimmy is survived by his wife Sandra Rivera of Dade City, Fla. and his son Ruben (Megan) & their children Elena, Caylie, Mackenzie, Dominic & Mia Rivera, his son (Jose), his daughter Danielle (Gaby) & their children, Alejandro, Jandel & Juan and his son Joshua & his children Joshua jr. & Aribella, and the late Jimmy Jr. children (Bryan, Elizabeth, Jordynn, Jailynn & Jimena. He leaves behind his brothers Roberto Rivera of Brooksville, Daniel Rivera (Charmon) of Dade City, Ruben Rivera (Ruth) of Dade City, Hector Rivera (Adrienne) of Dade City, and his sisters Rosita Rivera & Esther Rivera of Dade city. His brother-in-law Miguel (Maria) Velez, Sister-in-law Mildred (Cory) Colburn, Sister-in-law Miriam (Angel) Garcia. He has so many uncles, aunts and cousins on both sides of his family (Riveras, Atkinsons, Cantu). And he has many nephews and nieces a great nephews a niece .. he will be missed by all.
