Jim Coleman passed away peacefully under Hospice care on October 10, 2023, at the age of 84.

Jim was born on the family farm in Livingston County, Kentucky on September 1, 1939, to his parents Roy Albert Coleman and Ruby Isabell (Morton). He was one of 6 siblings.

Jim joined the Navy after high school and served on the USS Eugene Greene during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Soon after the Navy, he moved to Zephyrhills. There he owned Zephyr Electronics from the early '70s to the early 80s selling and repairing televisions and other electronics. Jim was a long-time member of the Zephyrhills Lions Club where he served in multiple roles such as President, Treasurer and Building Manager. This is where he met his second wife who was a member and served as President as well. Jim was also a long-time Ham radio operator as KF4VKO.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine "Gerri" Coleman. His parents Roy Albert Coleman and Ruby Isabell Morton Coleman. His siblings Jewell (Robert) Perreault, Joyce (James) Shumar, and Jack (Barbara) Coleman.

Jim is survived by his sons Richard J. Coleman and Brian M. Coleman, his grandson Brian C. Coleman, his sisters Jan (Timothy) Hinshaw, Joan (Stan) Wyatt, and 13 nieces and nephews.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
