Obituary

Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, passed away at the age of 63 in his Wesley Chapel home on August 13, 2018. The private funeral service was held 2:00 PM on Friday August 17, 2018 at the Zephyrhills Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home.

Jim was born in Montebello, California on February 8, 1955. He graduated from Newport Harbor High School and enrolled as a Political Science major at UCLA. He proved to be a world class athlete, and was named All American in the shot-put and on the football field. Jim was proud of his time spent in the NFL playing with the Dallas Cowboys and Oakland Raiders. He gained notoriety through his work as a professional wrestler and sports entertainer for 33 years, capturing the WWE Tag Team Championship twice. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, animals, and fishing.

Jim was married to Ellie Hart on December 26, 1979; they were married 39 years. Jim is survived by his wife Ellie, daughters Jenni Neidhart, Natalie Neidhart, and Kristin Culbreth, Grandsons Lachlan and Maddox Culbreth, his sister Debbie Taggart, and other family and friends. Jim is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Katherine Neidhart, Brother in laws Dean Hart, Owen Hart, Smith Hart, Davey Boy Smith, and nephew Matthew David Annis.
