"Cookie Duster", 62, of Dade City, FL, passed away Dec. 10, 2012 at home. Jewel Ray Simonds (AKA Jay) was born 12/12/49 in Athens, Tennessee .Jewel was multi- talented he was a musician, mechanic, logger, and volunteer. Jewel and Brenda and family moved to Florida in 1981 and moved to Dade City in 1991. He was involved in C Bs and went by the name Cookie Duster. He was known to help anyone out. He will be greatly missed by all especially his wife and family. He is predeceased by his father, Cecil Jack Simonds and mother, Sue Brown Simonds. He is survived by his wife of 42 years is Brenda J. Simonds; 2 children Shallyn Tennille Trevino and Adam Leo Simonds of Dade City; 2 grandchildren Brody Cecil Trevino and Mallyn Naomi Trevino; beloved niece Romily Elizabeth Verge; sister Betty Lynn Simonds; and brother Mark Anthony Simonds both living in Tennessee. Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 14, 2012 from 3-4pm at Hodges Family FH, Hwy 301, Dade City, FL.
