Jessie J. Collins, 81, of Dade City, Florida passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024. He was born on November 5, 1942, to Chester and Elizabeth Collins. He was the middle child of his 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He was a veteran in the United States Navy after serving 4 years of active duty and 29 years in the reserves. On January 11, 1991, Jessie and Bernice married; spending 33 joyous years together. Jessie was a hard-working man who never stopped. He owned two air conditioning businesses, Orange Coast Air and CSI. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. He coached little league softball in his younger days. He was a jokester and a kidder. He never met anyone he didn't like. He was always there for his family, whatever problems they had he was always there to try and fix them. Jessie was always willing to help everyone, he was kind and loved his family. He is preceded in death by his sons: Gerald Collins and Mark Collins; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Jessie is survived by his wife: Bernice Collins; Children: Cynthia Collins; Younger Daughters: Shiloh and Skyler; Grandchildren: Brandy, Tyler, Josh, Maggie; Great-grandchildren: Tristen, Tatum, Elisah, Rylan, Larson, Sierra, and Avery; Brother: Eddie Collins. A visitation will take place on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. A final viewing will take place prior to services on Friday from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM.
