Jesse Mercer Hogan Jr., age 61, passed away on March 7, 2018, at Tampa General Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Jeanie Hogan, of 39 years; his three children, Patricia (41 years), Gaylon (36 years), and Vince (32 years). He is also survived by his two grandsons, Trent and Austin. Mercer was born on February 20 in 1957, to parents Jesse Mercer Hogan Sr. and Wilma Hines. He graduated from Chamberlin High School in 1975. In 1976, he went to welding trade school and opened his own welding shop. He owned and operated that business with three employees. Mercer started his farming business in 1985, which continued on until his last days. Jesse Mercer Hogan Jr. was a hardworking, honest entrepreneur. He provided for his wife and family, even through hard times. He was the kind of man who never met a stranger and always had a helping hand. A loving man, who will be missed and will not be forgotten. We will see you in Heaven one day.
