Jerry Di Canio, age 66 of Lutz, FL passed away on Sunday, March 13,2022. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Charles Anthony Di Canio and Margaret Rose.
He was a certified Pipe Welder for over 30 years. He completed work at several local companies, such as Teco and Veterans Hospital in St. Petersburg. His biggest achievement was being involved in the construction of The Rivergate Tower, also known as the Sykes building in downtown Tampa. Jerry spent his childhood years in Brooklyn and his teen years in Marblehead MA. He moved to Seffner, FL when he was 20 years old.
He met Debbie 1 year later and married her in June of 1983. They had 2 beautiful children, Michael Anthony Di Canio and daughter Michelle Lee Di Canio. Jerry was an avid motorcyclist. He liked going to the beach and fishing occasionally, and mostly loved traveling on 2 wheels.
Survivors include his wife, both children, brother Mike Di Canio and Sister Susan Forte Di Canio
The Memorial will be held on Saturday April 9, 2022 at 11:00am.
The family has chosen to have a memorial service only, with no visitation prior to the service.
