Jeffrey Steven "Jeff" Teare, 60, of Wesley Chapel, FL, formerly of Darien, Trumbull and Newtown, Connecticut, passed away on May 2, 2022, surrounded by all who loved him. Jeff was born in Stamford, Connecticut on May 31, 1961, and raised in Darien, CT. He was the son of the late Connie Lee and Rollin Teare, and was also predeceased by his brother, David. Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, MaryJo Rosa Teare and his two children, Ashleigh Teare and Hunter Teare. He also leaves behind his sister, Cindi Tomasi, brother-in-law, Tom Tomasi, and two step-children, Lynda Falzone and Tom Falzone. After studying electromechanical technology at SUNY New Paltz, Jeff went on to own Travelin' Tunes, a Car Audio business in Monroe, Connecticut. He later worked as a Fabrication & Technical Specialist for Sony Mobile Electronics, designing and producing award-winning custom show vehicles, and was recently semi-retired from IT consulting. Jeff was an avid golfer, skier, and NHRA (drag racing) fan, even obtaining his license to drive a dragster. He had a deep appreciation for music, with a particular affinity for Southern Rock, and frequently attended live concerts. Anyone who knew Jeff would know how much he loved his favorite football team, the Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed spending free time in his home workshop, dedicating hours to a wide variety of projects, from woodworking and guitar restoration to fabrication of custom auto parts for his car. Jeff had immense artistic and technical abilities, and a talent for bringing any and all of his creative visions to fruition. There will be a celebration of life for Jeff on June 18th at 10 a.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel in Zephyrhills, FL. Though his loved ones mourn the loss of a beloved husband, father, brother and friend, they take solace in knowing that three people will be forever grateful for Jeff's decision to give the gift of life through organ donation.
