Obituary

Jeffrey Eugene Schulz, 62, passed away at 3:36 PM, on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Rucki Hospice House in Zephyrhills, Florida, following a long and hard fought battle with cancer.

Born on December 8, 1961 in West Covina, California, Jeffrey was the son of Duaine and Mary Jane Schulz.

Jeffrey grew up in Wisconsin along side his two sisters and one brother. While living in Wisconsin, Jeffrey obtained his nursing degree. He most recently worked for Advent Health. He was employed as an ICU nurse at Advent Health Dade City.

Jeffrey had five main passions in his life. He was an avid motorcycle rider, he and his brother would often make the trip to North Carolina to ride their motorcycles on "the tail of the dragon". Another passion of his was playing the guitar. Growing up he performed in his family's band, in later years he played in the bands "Thoroughbred, Amnesia, and The Blue River Band. Another passion of Jeffrey's was to laugh and joke around, even on days when he wasn't feeling well, he still found time to make those around him laugh. Jeffrey had a real passion for plants, flowers, and gardening, he absolutely loved to watch plants flourish. He was very proud of his landscaping skills and made his backyard his oasis. The most beautiful thing that Jeffrey watched grow was also his greatest passion, his children, Jeffrey was enthusiastically proud of his children and their accomplishments in their lives. He supported their endeavors and cheered them on until his last breath.

Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife, Coquocia "Coco" Schulz of Dade City; his mother, Mary Jane Schulz of Wausau, Wisconsin; daughter, Megan (Bob) Lamovec of Wausau, Wisconsin: son, Eric (Suzanne) Schulz of Tampa, Florida: Step-daughter, Kristina Goodall of Springfield, Illinois; brother, Brian (Kristen) Schulz of Wausau, Wisconsin; two sisters, Diane (Craig) Siegel of Wausau, Wisconsin; Christine (Don) Fourcade of Apache Junction, Arizona, and many nieces nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Duaine Schulz.

Per Jeffrey's wishes, there will be no memorial service. He did not want his loved ones to cry over him. He wanted everyone to remember the good times they shared with him. Jeffrey will be cremated and his ashes scattered in the mountains near "the tail of the dragon".
