Jeanette (Jan) Barthle Dillard, 60, died June 3, 2013. She was born March 21, 1953, to Joe and Jeanette Barthle of San Antonio, FL. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Barthle, sister Beth Barthle, brother Steve Barthle, father-in-law Dupree Dillard and grandson Waylon Butler. Jan is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ed Dillard, sons Nicholas (Julie) Dillard, Brian (Casey) Dillard, daughter Lauren (Will) Butler, grandchildren Cole, Cass and Erin Dillard, mother Jeanette Barthle Sutton, brothers Randy, Larry and Mark Barthle and sister Kathy Paige. She was raised on Barthle Brothers Ranch, and with the exception of college, lived her life there. Her passion for family, agriculture, and the land was surpassed only by her faith. Her personal interests included the Day-Z Flower Gardening Club, horticulture, sewing and cooking. She participated in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day walk for breast cancer in memory of her friend, Susan Kelly. Visitation for family and friends is Thursday, June 6 from 6-7:30 pm with a Rosary at 7:30 pm. Funeral service is Friday, June 7 at 10 am. Both visitation and service will be held at St. Anthonys Catholic Church, San Antonio, FL.
