Jean Parks Temple, 86, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on the 26th day of February, 2016. She was born in Chattanooga, TN. January 17, 1930. Graduated from Chattanooga High School in 1948 & Tennessee Tech Univ. in 1952. Her faith has been with the Presbyterian Church since early childhood. She served as an ordained elder in the First Presbyterian Church in Dade City, FL. She taught school in Hernando, Pinellas & Pasco County, Florida. After her retirement in 1985, she and her predeceased husband of 63 years, George Temple moved to Oxford, Florida. They were founding and charter members of North Lake Presbyterian Church Lady Lake, FL. She started and was very active in the Presbyterian Womens Org. and served as moderator in 1997. She was the first woman in the North Lake Presbyterian Women to receive the Honorary Life membership on January 27, 2001, and also served as a Stephen Minister beginning April 2, 2006. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Marie Boyett of Dade City FL and a son George Temple Jr. of Oxford, FL Grandchildren Jason-Kim Boyett, Holly-Daniel Boyd, Kim Temple, Dustin-Joy Temple & Krista-Justin Reedy. Great, Grandchildren include Brylee & Kaidyn Boyett, Jacob & Ryan Boyd, Andrew, Brian & Megan Farr, Lykin Stephens, Hailey & Mark Reedy. As a family we have been blessed with a strong loving Mom and Nana for many years, but we will miss her dearly. A memorial service at North Lake Presbyterian Church, Lady Lake FL will be held 11:00 AM Thursday March 3, 2016. The family will receive guests for visitation at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Hwy 301 Chapel on Thursday March 3, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM where her Funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday March 4, 2016. The interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell FL with Pastor Mike Smith presiding. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in memory of Jean P.
