Jean Alice Leonard, (Lachance) (Rameau), 83, of Dade City Florida formerly of Gardner, MA died peacefully Sunday April 16th with her family at her side.
Born in Waltham, MA on March 19, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Lachance & Irene (Wheeler) Warner
Jean worked for many years at Simplex Grinnell as a stock room supervisor. In her later years she found great joy in doing volunteer work at Heywood Hospital in Gardner, MA
Jean is survived her son Daniel Rameau and his wife Amy of Wesley Chapel, Florida; Two grandchildren Daniel Jr and Drew Rameau both of Wesley Chapel, FL; Two sisters Doris Morrissey and her husband Michael of Palm Harbor, Florida; Pauline Cheveriea and her husband Wayne of Somers, CT; One brother Paul Lachance of Nevada; Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jean was predeceased in death by her husband Carl Leonard; Four brothers Raymond LaChance, Charles LaChance, Roger LaChance Sr, and Donald LaChance. A sister Virginia Perron.
Jean enjoyed time with her family. She loved watching Boston Sports teams. Particularly the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins. She was a board member and coach for many years with the Greater Gardner Street Hockey Association.
Calling hours will be Saturday April 29th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Mack Family Funeral Home 105 Central St. Gardner, MA followed by a service at 11 at the funeral home. Burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner, MA. Refreshments and fellowship will be at the Templeton Fish & Gun Club
