Jean Ruth Hazekamp a John Knox Village resident since 2007, 4100 East Fletcher Avenue, Tampa, Florida peacefully passed away on October 28, 2014 at 10:58 PM. Born Jean Ruth Muller to parent, John and Matilda, in Jersey City, New Jersey on January 14, 1932. Jean raised her family in Ridgewood, New Jersey along with her professional firefighter husband, Beau, before they retired to Florida in 1985 along with her two sisters and their husbands whom were also from the northern New Jersey area.Jean is predeceased in 2006 by her loving husband of 50 plus years, Charles Fred Hazekamp, her sister, Louise Longson-Stolte and brother, Stanley Muller. She leaves behind her sister, Mildred Caren, daughter, Susan Henshall, son, John and wife Carol, son Richard and daughter, Cheryl Shreyer; along with six grandchildren Corey, Jeffrey, Tyler, Tara, Toni, and DanaA celebration of Jeans life will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 2 PM under the direction of Pastor Scott Lindner at John Knox Village Chapel.
