Jeanette Vergara Reyes, 58, of Dade City, Florida, passed away on May 22, 2026. Born on March 8, 1968, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Neftali Vergara and Petra Reyes.

Jeanette attended Caguas College of Technology and Sciences, graduating with an associates degree.

She was known for being funny, selfless, caring, and loving. Her warm spirit and outspoken personality brought joy to those around her, and she was always willing to help others however she could. Above all, Jeanette was a devoted mother who deeply loved her family.

She enjoyed cooking, spending time at the beach, and listening to music, especially salsa, Gloria Estefan, and classic 90's hits.

She is survived by her children, Luis Cosme (Carmen Cosme) and Ivelise Cosme (Kameron Stewart); her beloved grandchildren, Nathan Cosme, Mateo Cosme, and Kairo Stewart; her sister, Maritza Contreras; her parents, Neftali Vergara and Petra Reyes; and her cherished dog, Chloe.

She is preceded in death by her beloved cat: Kitty.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation services on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. A graveside service at Chapel Hill Gardens will follow after the visiation.
