Janice Marie Roy, 66, of Brooksville, Florida passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. She was born on February 1, 1957, in Decatur, Alabama to Ila Alligood and Clyde Southern. On July 4, 1978, David Roy and Janice married in Dade City, Florida. Janice enjoyed spending time with her family whether it was out on the boat fishing, swimming in the pool or just hanging out at the house. She loved her family. Janice enjoyed arts and crafts, enjoyed tending to her chickens and watching her dogs run around in the yard. Loved her nightly rides in the buggy with Dave. Janice loves sunflowers and enjoyed baking for the holidays. She liked watching college football. (Go Bama, Roll Tide) She is preceded in death by her father: Clyde Southern; and Siblings: Tommy Southern and Trisha Reedy. Janice is survived by her husband: Dave Roy; Children: Joseph Roy and David (Nichole) Roy; Grandchildren: Brandon, Brian, Michael, Tyler (Heather), Justin, Nicholas, and Kimber; mother: Ila Alligood; stepmother: Cathy Southern; and beloved pets: Sheeba and Spike. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, Florida. Service will begin at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow service at Floral Memory Gardens in Dade City, Florida .
