Janice Ann (Nobles) Lippman, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, age 75 formerly of Bolivar and Wellsville New York passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, July 05, 2017 in Dade City, Florida. Janice was born October 4th, 1941 to Leonard D. and Lucille B. (Henderson) Nobles and married Robert Clark Lippman in 1965 who died in 1993. She was a 1953 graduate of Bolivar Central High School and attended the University of Buffalo College of Nursing were she obtained her licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Janices love for nursing carried her through many different disciplines over a career of nearly 50 years. She began as a nurse at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, NY before teaming up with Doctors Akman, Harkness, and Sale in their private practice. Upon moving to Florida in 1980, Janice found her passion as the Assistant Director of Nursing at Zephyr Haven Nursing home. Janice assisted in the creation of the Alzheimer/Dementia unit before moving to Asheville, North Carolina in 1992 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. In 1994, the family returned to Dade City. Janice then joined the staff of Hernando-Pasco Hospice, a career that gave her great joy. She was touched by every patient she served and was certainly the nurse the Lord created her to be.
Janice was a beloved mother to Kim Marie (Jeffrey) Patterson of Dade City, Florida. Janice was a loving sister to Mary Clark of Bolivar, NY and Barbara White of Landrum, South Carolina. Janice is survived by her adored grandchildren Sarah and Marcus Walden of Lakeland, Florida. Michelle James of Spring Hill, Florida, Alyssa Walden of Dade City, Florida and Kristen Patterson of New Philadelphia, Ohio. Ten great-grandchildren, Cody, Jr., Savannah, Jahaira, Gianna, Scarlett, Harris, Aubree and Joshua Marcus. Two special nieces Bobbi Jo Baldwin and Kelly Kozlowski, nephews Greg and Scott Fancher and Kevin Dennis. Step-Son Robert C. (Judy) Lippman, Jr. of Houston, Texas. A Sister- in- Law Kay Dennis. Her Aunt Guinevere Nobles, numerous cousins, a precious friend Judy Regan, many exceptional friends, and her faithful companion for the last seven years, her dear Morkie Abigail (Abby) who misses her mommy dearly.
In addition to her parents and former husband, Janice was predeceased in death by a grandson Joshua Michael Walden in 2016.
Friends may call at the Hodges Family Funeral Home, 11441 US HWY 301 in Dade City, Florida, Saturday, July 15th, 2017 from 1 to 2 pm. A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm in the chapel. A private interment service will be held at a later date in Bolivar, New York.
Memorials may be made in Janices name to any local Hospice organization and would be most appreciated by the family.
