Janice A. Boltin, beloved wife of Bennett Land Boltin, passed away suddenly from the complications of Covid on May 21, 2021. Known to many as "Cookie," she was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. At the time of her homecoming, Janice was blessed by the love and prayers of family and friends and surrounded by her husband Bennett and two daughters Patricia Knight Mezzapelle and Amanda Jo Boltin and son-in-law Stephen Mezzapelle.

Janice, born in Gary, Indiana to the parents of AJ and Marilyn Childress on May 9, 1956, moved to Dade City, Florida in 1974. She was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling to distant places and times through books and devoted her time to caring for her family. Janice was proceeded in death by her father AJ and brothers John, Gerald, and Joel Childress. Mourning her departure are her grandchildren Marisa Knight, Parker Knight, and Joshua Mezzapelle; mother Marilyn Childress and brothers Jim Childress and Cliff Allen. In addition, "Aunt Cookie" will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Homecoming Services in memoriam will be held at Hodges Funeral Home, 11441 US/301, Dade City, Florida, 33525 on Thursday, June 3, at 11 a.m. The family will receive guests with a brief visitation beginning at 9 a.m. prior to the service. Guests unable to attend are invited to send cards with words of encouragement to the family, which appreciates your love and prayers.

Family and friends are invited to the Dade City Garden Club, located at 13630 5th St, Dade City, FL, 33525 for a light lunch directly following the services at approx 12:30 p.m. This time will be dedicated to the celebration of Janices life and homecoming. The family will reserve this time for cherished memories and happy moments and asks that you join them with joy and thanksgiving to remember a life well-lived and always in our hearts.
