IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Janet Noella
Dykes
December 25, 1930 – March 22, 2014
Janet Noella Dykes, age 83, of Dade City, FL, passed away Saturday evening, March 22, 2014 at Gulfside Hospice facility at Bayfront Medical Hospital in Dade City, FL.
Born December 25, 1930, in Northbridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha Hospod.
She is survived by her son David Cundiff and his wife, Karen; Barbara Cardais and her husband, Scott; Tom Potts and his wife, Tamy; and by her beloved grandchildren: Justin, Stacy, Avalon and Nikara. Also surviving are her sisters, Claire Bill of Southington, CT and Joann Stanford of Avon, CT.
Janet Dykes will be remembered as a woman who spoke her mind and loved her family above all else -- with gambling coming in a close second. Left in a room of strangers, Janet soon knew them all. Janet loved meeting new people and made close friendships with people of all ages and backgrounds. She was most proud of her children and especially -- even fiercely -- adoring, protective and proud of her grandchildren.
Janet wasn't the type to have a personal motto but if she did, it might be, "If asked to quiet down, speak louder."
A celebration of life attended by close family and friends was held on Saturday, March 29, 2014.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Bayfront Medical Hospital and the Gulfside Hospice facility for their compassionate care.
In recognition, the family requests that those wishing to honor Ms. Dykes make contributions to Gulfside Hospice, 2061 Collier Parkway, Land O Lakes, FL 34639
