Janie Eubanks Brown, 84, of Dade City, Florida, passed away on August 1, 2026, in Zephyrhills, Florida.

Janie was born on April 11, 1942, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Daniel Franklin Eubanks and Iris Knowles Eubanks. One of five children, she devoted her life to caring for her family and those around her.

Janie shared 60 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Tommy Wilson Brown, before his passing in 2022. She was a devoted homemaker who also played an important role in helping and supporting the startup of BASI. Affectionately known as "the mom of the company," Janie brought a personal touch to the workplace through the company newsletter, homemade meals for employees, and her willingness to sit down and talk whenever someone needed her. As those who knew her would say, "If you know, you know."

Janie enjoyed cooking, shopping, reading, playing card games, spending time with her family, and helping others. She was an avid gardener. Loving, caring, and selfless, she was a natural nurturer and trusted advisor. Her faith was strong enough to move mountains, and she offered comfort, encouragement, and guidance to countless people throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Iris Eubanks; two brothers; and her husband, Tommy Wilson Brown.

Janie is survived by her children, Matthew David Brown Sr. and his wife, Valerie, and Joann Brown Sherrill and her husband, Herb; her grandchildren, Mitchell Victor Brown and his wife, Jamie, Martin Robert Brown, Katie Ann Brinkley, Julia Elizabeth Lindsey and her husband, Josh, Matthew David Brown Jr. and his wife, Haley, Mason Samuel Brown, Nichole Sherrill, and John D. Barnes; and her great-grandchildren, Bobby, Jane, Lainey, Annie, and Trey.

A time of gathering will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. Followed by the celebration of life service at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Gulfside Hospice in honor of Janie's memory.
