James Wilson, 68, passed away in his Dade City home Wednesday, April 5, 2017. He was born February 17, 1949, in Williamsport, IN to the late James and Marie (Snider) Wilson. He graduated from Battle Ground High School in 1967.

On December 14, 1968, he married Rebecca Butz in Lafayette, IN. They were married 48 years. Jim worked for 33 years for the City of Tampa as Chief Operator of the waste water treatment plant. He was an avid golfer, playing in numerous leagues with friends. He scored 4 holes-in-one and played the Old Course at Saint Andrews in Scotland. While geocaching in 22 different states, he explored remote parts of the US and made more lifelong friends. He also enjoyed RVing with his wife and their dog Barlow. He was a member of Saint Ritas Catholic Church.

Surviving along with his wife Becky, are a son Jim, and daughter Nikki Heister (husband Bill); 2 sisters Judy Ford and Janet Ault-Wilson of Lafayette, IN; 2 awesome granddaughters Megan and Cassidy Heister. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Joann Hann and Marilyn Jordan of Lafayette.

Visitation will be Tues, Apr 11, from 6:00 8:00 pm, at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Wed, at St. Ritas Catholic Church, Dade City. Burial will follow at Battle Ground Cemetery, Battle Ground, IN.
