James Allen Waldron, affectionately known as Allen, passed away on October 14, 2024, in Dade City, Florida. He was 65 years old. Born on April 6, 1959, in Lake County, Florida, James was the son of Ida Bell Waldron and Thomas Newton Waldron.
James attended Groveland High School and became a proud owner-operator truck driver, a profession that allowed him to travel and experience life on the road. Throughout his life, he resided in both Florida and Illinois, where he built a legacy of hard work and determination.
He is survived by his children: Jamie Tactie and Jeremiah Waldron from his first marriage to Brenda Keller, and Jerry Allen Waldron, Shannan Davis, and Jody Johnson from his second marriage to Melody Ann Grimm, whom he wed in 1986. James was a devoted father, grandfather, leaving behind 17 cherished grandchildren and brother to his beloved sisters, Laura, Cheryl, Madeline and Della. His family was his greatest joy, and he raised smart and successful children who will carry on his legacy.
A man of Christian faith, James was saved and baptized . He was known for his vibrant personality and loved being the life of the party. With a passion for classic rock music, dancing, and playing pool, he was a dynamic presence in any gathering. An avid fisherman and self-proclaimed BBQ master, he found joy in simple pleasures and shared countless memorable moments with family and friends. He was especially fond of his dog, Penelope, whom he affectionately called his "little baby."
James was brave, hard-working, and outgoing. He embraced life with a youthful spirit, was often described as hard-headed, and was unafraid to speak his mind. He was also a devoted fan of the Buccaneers and enjoyed engaging with friends and family through social media.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 4:30 PM, with a viewing from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Zephyrhills, Florida.
James Allen Waldron will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his spirit and the love he shared with his family will endure in their hearts forever.
