Tipton, James Thomas 83 of Dade City, FL passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 under the care of HPH Hospice. He was born February 16, 1930 in Glenwood, GA to Charles Adrian and Sally Mae Palmer Tipton. James and his family moved to the area 73 years ago. He worked as a Grove Supervisor at Watkins MotorLines/Peace Valley Groves for 52 years. He was a perfectionist and he took great pride in the work that he did. He was fair to his employees and he treated them all with respect. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, but Bar-B-Que was his specialty. James is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Mary Alice. Along with Mary his three daughters Jane Yoquelet (Loren), Linda Chinchar (John) and Cindy Caudill (Tracy), his brother Adrian Tipton, 4 Granddaughters, 6 Grandsons, 9 Great Granddaughters, 6 Great Grandsons and numerous close friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Dorothy Dove. The Tipton family would like to thank the Hospice Center and staff for their dedication and compassionate care that was provided to James and his loved ones. The family will receive friends for viewing on Tuesday July 9th from 68pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday July 10th at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City.
