James L. Taylor, 92, passed away at his home on March 23rd, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Peachland, North Carolina on April 28th, 1929, he moved to Dade City in 1969 where he and his wife were educators at the local high school.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Inez Perry Taylor, his parents, Charlie Lee and Lizzie Mae (Kiker) Taylor, 2 brothers, Wayne and C.L. Taylor, and 2 sisters, Emma and Evelyn Taylor. He is survived by his adoring daughter, Teresa Ann O'Brien.

Jim was a man of many talents. He was an author, and educator, an investor, and an avid gardener who freely shared his bountiful harvest. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and neighbors.

A memorial service will be held 11 o'clock Monday, March 28th, 2022, at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time and burial will follow immediately at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery.

Honorary Pall Bearers will be Leslie Bissell, Elise Moryos, Lanita Rippere, Heather Ritchie, Betty Robinson, and Pam Wattenbarger.
