James (Jim) A. Swailes, 53, of Zephyrhills, Florida (Formerly of Lewistown, PA) passed on July 25, 2021. He was with his wife of 22 years; Suzie, daughters; Lyndzie and Shelby, along with so many other family members and friends. He is survived by his parents: Tony and Eldora Swailes; brother: Tim Swailes (Melett); sister: Kim Swailes; All of Lewistown, PA. He is also survived by his two stepsons: Darren Hamman (Brenda) of Zephyrhills and Jordan Hamman (Sarah) of Hankinson, ND. Also, In-laws: Nick Avery (Kim) of Webster, NY, Jennifer Zidak (Chris), Phil Mims. Heather Mims. Kimberly Avery, Michael Avery, and Michelle Avery, all of Zephyrhills, FL. Jim had five grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Pennsylvania, New York and Florida. He was preceded in death by a brother: David. At Jim's request there will be a covered dish cook out held at Krusen Field on August 7,2021 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. As we all know he loved Penn State & Cowboy football, Dodger baseball, Philadelphia 76ers basketball, and above all his Philadelphia Flyers hockey team. We will be able to enjoy the company of others, share memories and listen to his favorite music. So, for "Those About To Rock!" bring on his AC/DC and lets have a great time. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to the Zephyrhills Athletic League (ZAL), PO Box 1227, Zephyrhills, Florida 33539-1227. Jim spent many years out at the league. It was his most favorite place to be. It was his wish to help ensure that no child would be unable to participate because they were not able to afford it.
