James Dennis Murray, 88, of Zephyrhills went to be with the Lord on June 10, 2019, at Willow Point Nursing Home, Vestal, NY.He is predeceased by his parents Michael and Adel (Copp) Murray, a brother, Richard, and a daughter, Jill. He was a carpenter by trade and built several houses on the North side of Endicott and in Union Center, NY. He also worked for Robert Relyea, and built fireplaces and finished hardwood floors in several houses in Mr. Relyeas subdivision just outside Owego, NY.He moved to Zephyrhills, FL with his family in 1973. He worked for the First Baptist Church in Dade City for nine years, and then he worked for the District School Board of Pasco County for over ten years. He retired in 1993.Jim is survived by his wife, Jeannette (Chandler) Murray, and children Dennis (Lois), Gerald, Kathleen (Patrick) Fitzpatrick, Marguerite (Jeff) Kistler. James, Jr., and Jason (Rosa) Murray. He is also survived by his step-daughters, Lorraine Bound and Joanne (Jim) Haus; 18 grandchildren; 25 Great-grandchildren; and 5 Great-great grandchildren. Calling hours will be June 18th from noon until 2:00 PM at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Zephyrhills.
