James R. Morris, aged 84, passed away on February 2, 2025, in Zephyrhills, Florida. Born in Canton, Ohio, James was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He proudly served in the Army from 1958-1966, dedicating eight years to serving his country with honor. He established Morris Cleaning and Painting, a business focused on the restoration and renewal of heavy equipment, which he passionately operated until his retirement. Beyond his professional and military endeavors, he was an enthusiastic bowler, participating in various leagues throughout his life and enjoying the camaraderie and challenge of the sport. James is survived by his wife, Maxine Morris; daughter, Cindy Mangarelli (Bill); son, Randy Morris (Lisa); brother, Walter Morris; sisters, Patricia Charley and Beverly Nicolas; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Elizabeth Morris; daughter Carol Myers; sisters, Colleen Gilmore, Donna Vest, and Carolyn Almand-Miller; and brothers, George, Dale and Gary Morris. Services will be held graveside at Floral Memory Gardens (Hodges Family Funeral Home) 37701 Clinton Ave. Dade City, Florida, on February 15, 2025, at 10:00 am with gathering of family and friends immediately following at Women's Club of Dade City 37922 Palm Ave, Dade City, Florida.
