James Albert Mims, 90 of Land O Lakes passed away June 18, 2016. He was a World War II Veteran of the U. S. Army, and received a Purple Heart. He was retired from Verizon. He loved the outdoors, camping, boating and fishing. He and his wife use to be in a country and western band and later on he continued to play country music and bluegrass. He was preceded in death by the love of his life Henrietta, daughters Grace Wilson and Shirley Drake. He is survived by his son Ronnie and wife Kathy, and daughter Pat Allen and husband John. Grandchildren Randy Pittman, Rick Pittman, Deanne Davis, James Drake, Jonetta Rosati, Jason Allen, Michael Mims and Megan Milligan. Great Grandchildren, Karen Pittman, Tiffany Kemp, Patrick Pittman, Christy Pittman, Chloe Pittman, Chase Drake, Ryan and Nicholas Rosati, Kalie and Julie Allen, Catlyn Mims and Rayland Milligan. Great Great Grandchildren, Vincent, Grayson, and Parker Kemp, Braxton Pittman, and Kaitlyn and Josh Pittman.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 301 Chapel, Dade City Chapel.
