James Timothy McKinnie age 53, of Dade City, Florida passed away Wednesday morning at 4:37 am on February 15th 2023 at Dade City Advent Health Emergency Room. He was born in Dade City, Florida on January 12, 1970. Most people referred to him as ("Pooh-box"). He is preceded in death by his father Theodore McKinnie, Charlie Brooks, Mother Mabel M. McKinnie, Grandmother, Ruby Mae Southward, Grandmother, Alberta M. Southward, Grandfather Willie B. Southward, Sr. and a host of Aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins. He is survived by a son, Brent Searight (TX), and his first grandson (Levi Timothy Searight TX), and his daughter Angel Nichole (Atlanta Ga), 1 brother, Charles Alfred McKinnie, (Dade City), 2 sisters, Bonita A Southward, and Stephanie A. McKinnie (both of St. Petersburg, Fla). 3 Uncles, Willie B, Southward, Jr.(Dade City, Fla), and twin uncles Reginald and Ronald Southward (Dade City, Fla.).1 aunt Willie Gray Tarver (St. Petersburg, Fla). Host of nephews, cousins, friends. James spent most of his time doing odd jobs around Dade City. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, flying kites, riding motorcycles, and riding his three wheeler bike to help others with odd jobs. He was extremely devoted to his sisters calling them to see if they needed anything. He will be missed dearly. Arrangements are under the care of Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel Dade City, Fla. There will be no services at this time. His wishes. A celebration of Life will be held to honor and celebrate James Timothy McKinnie at a later date.
