James Clark McCabe passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at home in Wesley Chapel, surrounded by family. He was 69 years old. Jim was born and raised in Dade City, Florida. His parents were Jane Hudson McCabe and Peter C. McCabe.

Jim's law enforcement career consisted of working with the Florida Marine Patrol, Zephyrhills Police Department and the Pasco County Sheriff's Department. He continued working in the Security field at Moffitt Cancer Center until he retired in 2021.

He enjoyed fishing, traveling, getting a bargain at auctions, watching TV westerns, spending time with his family, and eating strawberry shortcake with his grandson.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Angela Sue McCabe, along with his son, Sean Clark McCabe, daughter-in-law, Kathryn McCabe, and grandchildren, Arthur "Arty" McCabe and Phoebe McCabe.

While he might not have always agreed with this when growing up, Jim was blessed to have four sisters: Melinda Norman, Polly Ann Edwards (Mark), Rosemary Borter (Cliff) and Susan Beddingfield (Larry). He had three nieces, Jenna Fagan, Chelsea Edwards and Mallory Edwards, along with two great nieces, Sadie Jane and Sofia.

Jim had a special relationship with his grandfather, Leon Hudson, when growing up.

At Jim's request, a private Celebration of Life was held by family on Sunday, July 20th.
